All BMX Clubs mentioned on this website are affiliated to
BMX Sports Western Australia and BMX Australia at the time
of creation. This allows these clubs to hold major events,
run race meetings and allow coaching of riders whilst being
covered by the necessary insurance.
All riders are also required to be licensed before being
able to go onto the track during any event or practice
session for insurance purposes. This makes it difficult for
new riders to try racing before having to pay their full
license fee. To combat this, riders may wish to visit an
open track, whilst no events or official practice is taking
place, and see what BMX is about for themselves.
Alternatively riders can choose to sign-up for a day license
or a full license (which lasts for 12 months). To do this
the rider will need a birth certificate/extract or drivers
license.
For full details on licenses, please talk to the friendly
club registrar during a club meeting. |
