Perth CBD
The west end of the central city area, along Hay, Murray and
King Street offers the biggest range of options. The busiest
time is Friday night which pulls the after-work crowd and
late night shoppers. There are several pubs offering casual
dining, as well as theatres and bars. Just a few minutes
drive from the city, Burswood Entertainment Complex boasts a
choice of restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Northbridge
The area bordered by William, James, Aberdeen and Parker
Streets is where you’ll find restaurants offering every
cuisine imaginable, as well as pubs, bars and clubs.
On weekends the streets are full of revellers. Northbridge
is 5 minutes from the CBD.
Leederville
Oxford Street is always busy in the evenings. Full of
after-work professionals, families and students, the crowd
is diverse. Many outlets are café style with
Mediterranean food, but you can also find Asian and seafood
restaurants, pizza parlours and kebab take-aways. The
Leederville Hotel is a happening place, as is Oxford Hotel,
at the northern end of the street. Leederville is 5 minutes
from the CBD.
Cottesloe
For beachside pubs and cafes check out Marine Tce, while
Napoleon Streets is home to stylish eateries, tea rooms and
plenty of shopping. Cottesloe is 20 minutes from the CBD.

Subiaco
This area buzzes on weeknights and weekends. Rokeby Road and
Hay Street is where you’ll find the most action. Subiaco is
perhaps best known for its quality restaurants from fine
dining to take away, Italian to Asian. The Subiaco Hotel is
the central drinking zone, but there are other smaller bars
and clubs that get busy once the hotel closes. Subiaco is 10
minutes from the CBD.
Mt Lawley
Beaufort Street is one of the most popular and diverse
places to head for a night out. With lively pubs, excellent
bars, and some of Perth’s best restaurants, you can’t go
wrong. There is also a good mix of noodle and pizza bars. Mt
Lawley is 10 minutes from the CBD.
Claremont
The area around Bay
View Terrace is full of designer shoppers during the day,
who spill into bars, pubs and great pizzeria restaurants at
night. Check out the who’s who of Perth’s old-moneyed crowd.
Claremont is 15 minutes from the CBD.
Fremantle
The city is well
known for its big variety of Italian and seafood
restaurants, thanks mostly to its cultural heritage as a
fishing port. Pasta, pizza and fish ‘n’ chips are the local
fare, but you can also find quality seafood outlets at
Fishing Boat Harbour and along South Terrace. Cafés and
pubs are everywhere, all boasting the causal alfresco
experience Perth is known for. Try some locally brewed
beer, or grab a coffee and spend time people-watching.
Fremantle is 25 minutes from the CBD.
